NEW FILM: Wye Adventure? A Source-to-Sea Triathlon

The pandemic forced me to move home with my parents and take a job in a nearby hospital. I began to realise my addiction to adventure and travel had come at the cost of friendships and community and financial security. I’d been too busy seeing the world and making memories to notice all the little sacrifices made along the way. I had friends around the world, yet I was lonely. I'd prioritised experiences above making money, a decision I'd make a hundred times over, yet it had left me vulnerable.
I reflected that my life needed a slight re-balance. Could I juggle my passion for adventure travel with the desire to also have a community and friends and greater financial security? I began to wonder; could I satisfy my passion for adventure and travel without going far from home, without huge Farewells to friends and family, without too much disruption to 'normal life'?
I planned a microadventure along the River Wye. I'd hike from the river's source until I reached the road, cycle until the water was deep enough, and then Stand-Up-Paddleboard until the sea. I only had five days to squeeze this trip in. My cousin followed that trip and produced the following film which captures the journey and that attempt to juggle all the important aspects of life!
