2.5 days in NYC

Writing about New York City is a pretty daunting topic. Many people already know so much about it, having seen it on TV or in films, or read about it in the, perhaps millions of accounts which discuss and detail all aspects of the city, in a style better than I am capable of, and using bigger words. Therefore, instead of in-depth detailing all the different attractions (go elsewhere for that), this blog post is merely going to be a personal list of some of what I saw in my 2 and a half days there, and any accompanying thoughts.

Staying in NYC

How much do you think it would cost to stay in NYC for a night? Well, how does $20.50 per night sound? “You’re joking”, some of you may be thinking. “What kind of conditions are you living in”, others may be thinking, perhaps even with a tinge of concern. Well, it’s the truth. We’re staying […]

Life on the Ranch: Part 4 (The last ride jinx)

The cowboy transformation

Since camp has finished I’ve been travelling around America for a few days with friends, and am having a great time, but, this Saturday I’ll be leaving them to go work on a horse ranch for a few weeks. So, how did I arrange this work back in England? The secret is…   Workaway.   […]
